WDC engages a limited number of ground-up builds and full-home renovations across Los Angeles each year. Every engagement runs through Discovery — a fixed-fee design phase, refundable against the build.
Four engagements. One discipline.
WDC headlines four project types — full-home remodels, ADU and garage conversions, outdoor architecture. Same team designs and builds every one.
01Full home remodels

A note from Jacob.
Two minutes on how WDC engages a project — what we look for in the first conversation, how we hold the timeline, and why the same team designs, permits, and builds.

Same team designed and built it.
Three clients on outcomes — full home, kitchen, full renovation. The discipline that shows up in the brief is the discipline that finishes the walkthrough.
“From the first call to the end of the job, Jacob and his team were incredible. Pricing, timelines, and workmanship clearly defined — no surprises.”
“Israel spent time on what I was looking for. Luis and his crew were outstanding. Angelica's design suggestions were invaluable and on point.”
“Jacob handled everything from demolition to the final touches with professionalism and care. The workmanship is top quality, the price was fair, the crew was professional and clean.”
Four phases. Disclosed timeline. Sign-off at every boundary.
Discovery to walkthrough on a published schedule. The black hole between contract and completion is what most clients fear — disclosed phases close it.

Frequently asked.
Six things prospective clients ask before Discovery. Pricing, permits, timeline, change orders — the questions that decide whether design-build is the right structure for your project.
Yes. We manage all permitting through the LA Department of Building and Safety (LADBS), including architectural drawings, structural engineering coordination, and inspection scheduling. Most residential permits take 4–10 weeks depending on scope.
Yes. We offer a free initial consultation to assess scope and provide a ballpark range. A detailed estimate requires a Discovery phase — fixed fee, no design work begins until program and budget are agreed.
Depends on scope. For full-home renovations we typically recommend temporary relocation during active construction phases. ADU builds and room additions can often be staged to minimize disruption.
ADU and garage conversions: 12–18 weeks. Kitchen remodels: 6–10 weeks. Full home renovations: 28–52 weeks of build, plus 18–30 weeks of design and permit. Disclosed on the timeline at engagement.
Fixed-price contract. Discovery is a fixed fee. Design is transparent hourly with a not-to-exceed cap. Construction is a fixed contract with a transparent change-order log — you see every adjustment in writing before it is approved.
A dedicated WDC project manager — same team from Discovery through walkthrough. Weekly site report, monthly Owner-Architect-Contractor meeting, transparent change-order log. The same team that designed it builds it.
